- In 2006 when the Joint Article Management Promotion-consortium (JAMP) was established, an approach like JAMP where a number of business operators from the upstream to downstream area get together to discuss the issues of whole supply chain was groundbreaking. The concept of communicating information on chemicals in products common to supply chains has been compiled and embodied for diffusion in Japan and abroad.
- chemSHERPA is based on the results produced by JAMP or JGPSSI, and adopts International Standard IEC62474 which aims at standardizing the communication of information on chemicals in products. Thus, we expect chemSHERPA will become more suitable for use in foreign countries in the future.
- We are now engaged in international standardization activities so that chemSHERPA will be an ISO standard in the future.
- Naturally, the administration organization of chemSHERPA will strive to diffuse it. And we believe that the most efficient diffusion strategy is to have each user of chemSHERPA proactively understand chemSHERPA’s scheme for communicating information on chemicals in products and use chemSHERPA appropriately in their manufacturing.
