Cancellation by seekers

The Seeker can send a cancellation request to ShareRo Customer Services in order to cancel any Booking without any penalty if such cancellation takes place within 15 days or a longer period before the Move-in Date and the Seeker duly informs ShareRo about such cancellation by email.
If the Seeker cancels:
a. 15 or more days before the Move-in Date, ShareRo will reimburse the Seeker’s fees as well as the First Transfer to the Seeker;
b. 14 days or less earlier before the Move-in Date, ShareRo will reimburse ShareRo’s Seeker fee and will retain an amount equal to 50% of the First Transfer as ShareRo Cancellation Penalty, which will be transferred to the Lister and ShareRo will reimburse the Seeker the remaining 50% of the First Transfer; and
c. 6 days or less before the Move-in Date, ShareRo will retain ShareRo’s Seeker fee and will also retain an amount equal to 100% of the First Transfer as ShareRo Cancellation Penalty, which will be transferred to the Lister.
Extenuating circumstances for cancellations by the Seeker
In the event that the Seeker sends a cancellation request to ShareRo Customer Services in order to cancel an accepted booking due to an extenuating Circumstance reason as indicated below, ShareRo may waive the Cancellation Policy.
Please note that the following are the only Extenuating Circumstances that ShareRo may consider:
Serious injury, illness or death of the Seeker;
Serious injury, illness or death of a first or second degree relative, a minor or handicapped person which the Seeker is the legal guardian or primary substitution;
Death of a third degree relative;
Loss of employment by the Seeker, after the booking was confirmed;
New employment by the Seeker in a new company where work location is in a different city to the reservation, after the booking was confirmed;
Extension of employment contract by the Seeker where the work location is different from the city to the reservation, after booking was confirmed;
Mandatory transfer for employment of the Seeker where the work location is a different city from the booking, after the booking was confirmed;
Official declaration of disaster zone in the city where the accommodation is located; and
Unexpected visa denial for unjustified reasons and, not cause either directly or indirectly by the Seekers acts or omissions, which restrict the Seeker from relocating to the city where the accommodation is located.
Additionally, please note that this waiver may only be applied by ShareRo if the following conditions are met:
The Seeker contacts ShareRo customer support as soon as possible; and
The Seeker, within a period of 7 days, provides appropriate supporting documents to ShareRo customer support which at the sole discretion of ShareRo are considered sufficient.
