Are rare-earth-free materials a substitute for rare earths?

DKK handles zirconium, which is a completely different element from rare earth elements. Therefore, this does not mean that we have developed a substitute for rare earth elements. Our announcement concerns the development of new ceramic materials that can deliver equivalent performance without the addition of rare earth elements, which have traditionally been used to improve the performance of zirconium materials. In other words, this technology is not intended to replace rare earth elements; rather, it enables the use of zirconium materials without relying on them.
