The E-99X model Rover Mini adopts a “unit-type” structure in which the
engine, transmission, and differential are integrated, and
features a transversely mounted engine + front-wheel drive (FF) design.
【1】Addition to Manual Transmission (MT)
This vehicle is a 4-speed MT specification, and its engine oil shares the same structure as the transmission oil.
In a typical manual transmission vehicle, the following effects can be expected by adding
“Bell Hammer Light”.
-Improved lubricity
-Improved shift feeling
-Reduction of gear noise and vibration
＜Although we have not confirmed the detailed specifications of the vehicle in question,
if the E-99X model uses a wet clutch,
the extreme pressure lubrication component will act on the clutch through the engine oil,
causing clutch slippage.
Criteria for each clutch structure
・For dry clutch: usable (no problem)
・For wet clutch: not usable (concern about slippage)
【2】 Differential (differential)
The differential of this vehicle is an integral structure with the engine and transmission, and cannot be added independently.
Therefore, only when the transmission can be used with a dry clutch, the differential can be used as well.
The suitability depends on the type and structure of the differential, so please refer to the following for your judgment.
Gear types such as open differentials and Torsen type
: In many cases, addition is possible.
-LSD (limited-slip differential) and other types that use friction
: Addition is not recommended (because it may cause malfunction or slippage).
