LS Bell Hammer Grease No.0 is designed not to be strongly aggressive toward common rubber seal materials such as NBR and EPDM. Under normal use, swelling or deterioration of rubber has not been reported.
However, certain conditions may cause rubber to lose elasticity or flexibility:
・Heat from high rotation and heavy load
・Exposure to moisture or chemicals
・Aging or quality variation of the rubber itself
Therefore, in cases where a hub shield rubber stretches within about a year, the cause may not be limited to the grease alone but could involve wheel structure, operating conditions, and rubber material quality.
If higher safety for rubber and resin is required, Bell Hammer Silicone Grease is recommended. It has low tackiness and excellent water resistance, making it more suitable for rubber parts.
