Use during engine overhaul
Adding Bell Hammer to a wet clutch system should generally be avoided. Since the clutch relies on friction to transmit power, the extreme-pressure properties of Bell Hammer could cause slippage or damage.
However, applying a very small amount of Bell Hammer Gold directly to part surfaces as assembly oil during reassembly is acceptable. It will later be diluted by circulating engine oil and will not interfere with normal operation, while aiding initial break-in.
