Operating temperature
Continuous operation at around 150–160°C is acceptable. The catalog’s heat resistance limit of up to 200°C refers to short-term peaks, so it is recommended to allow a margin of about 10–20°C for continuous use. Under your conditions, apply a moderate amount and shorten inspection or reapplication intervals to maintain stable lubrication.
Application and operation points
・Apply a thin film of about 20–50 µm; excessive application may cause heat buildup or debris adhesion.
・For initial operation, inspect and reapply after 1–2 weeks or every 100,000–200,000 cycles, then adjust the interval based on conditions.
・Clean the surface before first application to remove old grease.
・For seals made of NBR or FKM, operation at 150–160°C is generally fine, but confirm material suitability if exposed to near 200°C temperatures for extended periods.
If temperature exceeds 200°C
・Base oil may evaporate or oxidize, leading to hardening of residue
・Thickener may degrade, causing poor lubrication
・Increased sliding resistance, noise, or seal deterioration
If such symptoms occur, stop operation, clean off residues, and reapply grease.
