Use on motorcycles
Bell Hammer Light is an extreme-pressure lubricant that forms a strong protective film on metal surfaces. Therefore, it should not be used on motorcycles equipped with a wet clutch.
Reason
Wet clutches operate with clutch plates immersed in oil. Adding an extreme-pressure additive can reduce the friction coefficient and may cause:
・Clutch slippage
・Poor clutch engagement
・Difficulty shifting gears
Usable cases
・Motorcycles with a dry clutch
・Engines where the clutch is separated from the oil (lubricating only gears or bearings)
・Scooters with CVT (continuously variable transmission) systems
In these structures, the clutch does not contact the oil, so Bell Hammer Light can be used safely.
Summary
・Wet clutch motorcycles → Not recommended (risk of clutch slippage)
・Dry clutch motorcycles / CVT scooters → Safe to use
Suitability depends on the motorcycle’s design. Avoid use on wet clutch models to prevent potential issues.
