Use in 2-stroke engines
Bell Hammer products should not be used in 2-stroke engines. This is due to differences in lubrication and combustion structure. In 2-stroke systems, oil is burned during operation, and film-forming lubricants like Bell Hammer are unsuitable.
Separate lubrication systems
Most modern 2-stroke vehicles, including the Gyro Canopy, use a separate oil supply system. In this setup, adding other additives can cause:
・Oil separation or chemical instability
・Insufficient lubrication leading to seizure
Premix systems
When fuel and oil are mixed directly, the oil burns in the combustion process, preventing Bell Hammer from forming a protective film. It may also cause carbon buildup or exhaust port blockage.
Summary
・2-stroke engines → Not recommended (incompatible lubrication structure)
・4-stroke engines or metal sliding parts (gears, bearings) → Usable
Do not add Bell Hammer to the engine of a 2-stroke Gyro Canopy. However, it can still be used effectively on drivetrain or bearing components.
