The lubricating film of Bell Hammer forms through tribochemical reactions that chemically bond to the metal surface under friction.
・Condition: The film forms only when friction occurs, not by leaving it static.
・Temperature: Forms from room temperature to high temperatures, stabilizing through repeated motion.
・Load: Even under light loads, as in fishing reels, the film gradually settles with use.
Film formation and deterioration signs
・Appearance: A thin metallic sheen remains on the surface.

・Sound: Increased noise or resistance indicates reapplication timing.
Rust and maintenance
The film itself offers corrosion resistance, but in a completely dry condition, rust can still occur.
After saltwater use, rinse, dry thoroughly (air blow recommended), then reapply a thin layer.

Dry-use method
After the film forms, lightly wipe off excess grease with a cloth.
The chemical film remains even if the surface is cleaned with solvent.
