DCT structure and precautions
A DCT is a highly precise system that electronically controls clutch and gear engagement using specialized DCT fluid, where hydraulic pressure and friction characteristics are strictly calibrated.
Adding external lubricants or additives can alter these friction properties, leading to potential issues such as:
・Increased shift shock
・Shift control malfunction
・Clutch slippage
Product compatibility
LS Bell Hammer series products are not recommended for use in DCT fluid.
This is not due to a lack of performance, but because maintaining the fluid’s original friction properties is critical to DCT operation.
Applicable cases
For other transmission types—such as MT, AT, or CVT—adding 5–10% of LS Bell Hammer concentrate to the gear lubrication section can effectively reduce wear and noise.
