LS Bell Hammer 80ml can be added to engine oil, but it is a general-purpose extreme-pressure concentrate originally designed for industrial and mechanical lubrication. While it does form a protective tribochemical film inside an engine, it is not optimized for modern engine oil behavior (heat cycles, viscosity shear, ring sealing, detergent compatibility).
For engines, the currently recommended products are:
• Bell Hammer Light → For kei cars and small-displacement engines; improves response and lightness.
• Bell Hammer 7 → For stronger engine protection, quietness, and long-term wear reduction.
In a typical kei car with ~1.5–3.0L oil capacity, 80ml equals roughly 3–5%, which will still create film, but the feel and durability will be milder compared to Light or 7.
Recommendation:
If you want the best and most consistent engine results, switch to Bell Hammer Light (response focus) or Bell Hammer 7 (durability focus) going forward. LS Bell Hammer is still safe, just not the optimal match for engine-specific performance.
