Is it okay to use Bell Hammer Metal Grease on disc rotor bolts or spark plug threads to prevent seizing? Also, is it appropriate to apply it in plug holes to prevent compression leakage?

【Inquiry Summary】
- Use of Bell Hammer Metal Grease for preventing galling on disc rotor mounting surfaces and bolts
- Application to spark plug threads and plug holes

■ About Bell Hammer Metal Grease

Bell Hammer Metal Grease is a high-performance extreme pressure grease designed for lubrication and prevention of wear and seizure in metal sliding parts.

It provides excellent lubrication in mechanical moving parts, bearings, and fastening components.

There are cases where it is used for preventing bolt seizure or light rust and sticking. However, please be aware that it may affect tightening torque and its stability under high temperatures should be carefully considered.

Especially for bolts near brake rotors or braking components, it is generally recommended to avoid applying lubricants for safety reasons. Please assess your application carefully before use.

■ Application to Spark Plug Threads and Plug Holes

There are dedicated anti-seize greases specifically formulated for spark plug threads, designed to perform reliably under extremely high temperature and pressure.

While Bell Hammer Metal Grease offers excellent extreme pressure lubrication, it is not recommended for use in high-temperature, high-pressure environments near the combustion chamber, due to risks such as chemical degradation, compression leakage, or abnormal combustion.

We also advise against applying it inside plug holes, as it may cause issues depending on engine structure and use conditions.
